Meet our new intern: Owen Serier

Since 2025, HMK has been an accredited training company, which means that Owen can also do his internship with us as part of his Media and Design studies at the ROC in Amsterdam.

One of Owen's internship assignments is to collaborate on the “De Vuurkring 2026” project. For this project, various young artists from Hoorn come together to develop their musical skills.

"It may sound strange, but I've felt at home here since day one. I can use everything I need here to keep myself busy and develop. Every day feels like a new, fun challenge in which I get to try new things. One day I'm filming, the next day I'm designing or helping with organization. No two days are the same, and every day I discover something new. This feels intimate and special to me. I hope that during my internship I can get the most out of myself and really expand my artistic boundaries. I already see a lot of good things in the future and will definitely continue to strive for them."
