Introduction new HMK board members

Welcome our new board members: Iris van Santen, Joyce Poot and Isabel Cordeiro. Together with Maja Bekan, Rosa de Graaf and Csilla Klenyánszki, they now form the HMK board. As HMK enters a new chapter, we are excited to grow together and benefit from the board’s wide range of expertise, perspectives and experience.

Joyce Poot is a cultural policy advisor for the Provincie Zeeland, where she focuses on the visual art field, talent development and strengthening the cultural infrastructure. Her work is shaped by an interest in how art operates within social and regional contexts, bringing a connective and collaborative approach to cultural development.

Isabel Cordeiro is an artist and former HMK resident whose work investigates material agency and embodiment through performance and installation. She creates encounters between human and non-human bodies, exploring how motion, touch, and gravity shape material relations. She also brings a broad experience from education through her teaching at Gerrit Rietveld Academie.

Iris van Santen has a broad experience in larger institutions like Rijksmuseum and Foam as a projectlead. Her work moves between content and organisation, between artists, audiences and systems, creating formats that not only inform, but open up space for reflection and encounter. She has expanded her practice towards personal development and leadership, including her training in Human Design.
