What is De Vuurkring?

De Vuurkring is a co-creation of the Work Heart Make Art foundation and the Hotel Maria Kapel foundation. It is an artistic and cultural-social project that offers young people from Hoorn the space and opportunities to develop their own narrative within contemporary (visual) art. Over a period of approximately 12 weeks, they connect with each other in a process of deepening, exchanging, creating, and sharing. They develop their own goals in order to professionalize within the art form they practice. As mentors, WHMA and HMK offer the support, expertise, and professional networks to make this creative foundation sustainable and strengthen it. What is unique about this project is that the young people are in charge.
