After the restoration in 1993 the Maria Kapel was destined to be a cultural hotspot. It was this moment when it was renamed its current name ‘Hotel Maria Kapel' (HMK): an artist-in-residence, exhibition space for contemporary art and a cinema. Hotel Maria Kapel is always free to visit. During Open Monumentendag, the chapel is opened for anyone that wants to explore the building with its rich history.
