Collective crocheting gathering: Vita Buivid, 'TEXT?TEXTILE, crocheting for beginners in critical theory'

For her project TEXT/TEXTILE, artist Vita Buivid organizes a series of workshops and gatherings during which she invites volunteers to collectively work on a large crocheted artwork and discuss topics such as ageism, resilience and longevity. Together, participants work through the social fabric of our time and knit together the spaces that seem to separate us from each other. The end result, large crocheted panels with inserted texts, will be presented at the year’s end in the chapel of HMK.

Would you like to participate in making a collective artwork by crocheting? Are you a beginner in critical theory? JOIN US! Knowledge of crocheting or critical theory is not required; the artist will be present to help with crocheting and engage in conversations about critical theory.

You don’t need to make a reservation, HMK is more than happy to welcome you!
