HMK is proud to announce its 2021 programme and artists in residence. The residents were chosen on the basis of a juried open call in spring 2020: Ganesh Nepal (NP), Setareh Noorani & Matt Plezier (NL), Minne Kersten (NL), Danai Giannoglou (GR), Alina Lupu (RO), Ada Patterson (BB), SX Juul (DK).

With great enthusiasm, HMK announces that Tirza Kater (left) is the new Artistic Director of Hotel Maria Kapel. Alongside Business Director Annelien de Bruin (right) the directorial team will work with the team, volunteers and board to further take care of the institution and provide a structure of support for young artists with the year programme On Shelter.

After two years at HMK, our Creative Director, Miriam Wistreich, is heading for new adventures as Director of UKS, Oslo, starting from February 15, 2021. During her time at HMK, Wistreich guided HMK through a transition period, reorganising HMK through the year programme Slow Burn, co-conceived with artists Maja Bekan and Griet Menschaert.
