Instant Coffee Light Bar

November 24 marks the opening of the Light Bar, in the centre of Hoorn, a project by service-oriented artistscollective Instant Coffee. The Light Bar will be open Thursdays through Sundays till December 11th. You are invited to the Light Bar's opening event that starts at 8 PM with snacks and drinks on November 24.
Instant Coffee already built a similar Light Bar during the artprogramme of the VancouverWinterOlympics of 2010. In Vancouver, the Light Bar was a response to the city's dark and rainy winterseason. In Hoorn, Instant Coffee will light up the Dutch days before christmas with a large light-installation in a storefront at Kruisstraat 19, in the centre of Hoorn. Besides this form of light-therapy, Instant Coffee will also be offering a series of activities, such as light rock, light reading and light workshops. The Light Bar will be open till December 11th.
