The project "Mining" will be focused on the direct, physical and cultural environment of Hotel MariaKapel. Several national and international artists will ´mine´ in search of special places and special meetings. All artists their works involves research with identifying and investigating a place or environment. Sometimes fairly direct, sometimes more indirect or poetic.The artists each have a completely different approach and preference for their medium, but we see a similarity in their approaches. They all see their environment as a kind of goldmine which could be mined as the raw material for their work.
