A small temporary art school in Hoorn
Under the title AFWEZIG (absent), a group of students of the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam will be working in Hotel Mariakapel, supported by monthly changing guest artists and -teachers. AFWEZIG is a small temporary art school, whose activities are regularly open to the public.
The location itself will be the point of reference (orphanage/Chapel, city of Hoorn, surroundings) for both the structured work periods with a series of guest artists, as well as for the projects the students will initiate themselves.
