Lisa Gallacher (Glasgow) explores relationships between art and fashion. She makes fully functioning revised replicas, or pirate versions, of brand name garments, which often become the component parts of installation works. She often uses painted fields of colour and symbols, to integrate the garment/sculptures but also to modify the architectural and interior features of a given space.

André Alves (Porto): Aunt Nell Gis is a large-scale drawing, shaped as a paper carpet (following the style of courtesan tapestries), placed outside on the square near the Gashouder. The work is born from the need to produce a statement about the recent stalking, stoning, killing and hiding the body of transvestite Gisberta, by 14 teenagers in Portugal.
